After your purchase, Solar Chaperone will partner with a local, certified solar contractor to schedule an installation date. Collectively, we will guide you through any necessary paperwork and preparations.
The time between purchase and installation can vary based on factors such as schedule, weather conditions, and any necessary permits. Typically, it can take a few weeks to a couple of months with an average install time of four weeks from site inspection.
Our team will handle most of the paperwork, including permit applications and utility interconnection agreements. We’ll keep you informed about any documents that require your signature or input. Most documents can be signed electronically.
Generally, you don’t need to be present during the entire installation process. However, we may need access to your home for certain aspects of the installation.
Clearing the installation area of any obstructions and providing easy access to your breaker box and other relevant areas can help expedite the installation process.
The installation duration depends on the size of the system and the complexity of the project. On average, residential solar installations can take one to three days.
The installation process is designed to minimize disruptions to your electricity supply. Any brief interruptions are typically planned and communicated with you in advance.

Our solar systems can come with monitoring solutions that allow you to track your system’s performance and energy production in real-time through online platforms or mobile apps.
Our team offers ongoing customer support. If you have any questions or experience issues with your system, reach out to us for assistance.
Your roof will be evaluated by our site inspection team. If a roof is needed before installation can begin, we will refer you to our roofing partners for a quote. Often the roof work and solar project can be combined in the same finance package for one low rate.
